EMWA Spring Conference 2022

This year, the Euro­pean Med­ical Writ­ers Asso­ci­a­tion (EMWA) chose Berlin to cel­e­brate its 30th anniver­sary and ICRC-Wey­er was glad to be part of it as spon­sor and through its EMWA mem­ber employees.

The 53rd Edi­tion of the EMWA Con­fer­ence turned out to be a remark­able suc­cess on all sides. Thanks to a wide selec­tion of work­shops, sym­po­siums and expert sem­i­nar series (opened for pro­fes­sion­als with var­i­ous back­grounds and lev­els and offered both in pres­ence and in hybrid mode) our employ­ees could not only live a week of deep con­tin­u­ous learn­ing and edu­ca­tion, but also dive into a huge vari­ety of indus­try fields and top­ics in line with our dai­ly work (such as safe­ty writ­ing or writ­ing for orphan med­i­c­i­nal prod­ucts, just to men­tion a few).

Fur­ther­more, after 2 years of dis­tanc­ing and peri­od­i­cal lock­downs, we did enjoy meet­ing again in per­son vet­er­an EMWA mem­bers and new join­ers from dif­fer­ent coun­tries and hav­ing the chance to share knowl­edge and ideas, to dis­cov­er the best prac­tices of dif­fer­ent com­pa­nies, to stay up to date with new trends, to improve our work lis­ten­ing to the expe­ri­ences of oth­er EMWA mem­bers and tutors, as well as to have the amaz­ing oppor­tu­ni­ty to hear about top­ics of our inter­est direct­ly from EMA reviewers.

The Berlin Spring Con­fer­ence gave us an invalu­able and reward­ing expe­ri­ence, out of our expec­ta­tions but for sure inside our future dai­ly rou­tine and best prac­tices. We greet then this month, which is com­ing to an end, hap­py and grate­ful for the time spent, as well as eager to wel­com­ing, sup­port­ing and join­ing the next week of pro­fes­sion­al grow­ing, empow­er­ment and knowl­edge shar­ing ded­i­cat­ed to med­ical writ­ing and all its experts.
