"Internationale Skalen für Psychiatrie"/”International Scales for Psychiatry” is out now. The 6th edition of the CIPS publication is the standard reference in the field of clinical psychiatric assessment.
Prof. Dr. Karl Broich, who is the president of the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM), came into contact with the CIPS compendium as a young resident doctor and did Prof. Dr. Weyer and his co-authors the honor of writing the prologue. He summed up the significance of the 6th edition in an excerpt from the prologue:
"The 6th edition of the CIPS compendium is considered to be a standard reference, which has proven to be successful both in clinical psychometric research and in hospitals. Through ongoing revision for the last 35 years the CIPS compendium thus again gives new impetus to therapy evaluation concerning clinical trials. Furthermore it will be helpful for many colleagues in clinico-therapeutical daily routine for the assessment of psychopathology."
